“Live with intention, walk to the edge, play with abandon, live with no regrets: Dream big and do what you love!!”
A new fancy schmancy ‘iPad’ means we are connected on a whole new level and staying “With It”. Getting our life coordinated for the next leg of our odyssey … we watch the cold grotty rain fall in Ontario.. we were doing the same this time last year!!
Our trek back across the US to Ontario was a chance to catch up with friends and family, from Cheyenne to Chicago (shout out to Chicago that rocked!!) and all over Ontario, as we make final arrangements and preparations for Pumpers voyage and our flight across the Atlantic.
Everything would be really sweet if it weren’t for an annoying oil leak Pumper developed and we fixed in Utah, seems to have re-surfaced, just a few days before we hand Pumper over to the shipper we wait for spare parts to arrive, then a dash from Ontario to Baltimore… Not many days for error. Just a couple of drops of oil but too many for the shipping company that provided strict guidelines on why Pumper might not be able to make the journey. No oil, grease, or dirt on the underside. No Personal things or spare parts. This RORO (Roll On, Roll Off) method of shipping is a different game than driving into a container lock stock and barrel, but also a lot cheaper. A few spares and treasures have been carefully concealed in Pumpers nooks and crannies, everything else has to travel with us!!
We managed to purge the accumulation of personal things to a manageable level for taking with us on our flight…. without a divorce… and really the “D’ word was on the table!!! Who knew wardrobe selection could be so contentious, well we weren’t exactly seeing eye to eye!!
We are stoked at the thought of driving Europe… experiencing the history, architecture, people, and the diverse landscapes has us salivating. Catching up with European friends we made throughout Central and South America will be a treat, and new acquaintances we’ll make at every turn!!
We’ve said ‘Plan’ is a 4 letter word we try not to use, so exactly where we head in Europe … we’re not really sure. We are shipping to England (Southampton); of course Pumper has to have a quick zip around a few country lanes and perhaps London during the Olympics sporting the Maple Leaf. We sure relish the idea of driving on the wrong side of the road in a left hand drive and figuring all that out!!
The idea of Egypt to South Africa during the European winter has us chomping at the bit. How long can we live like this… wandering the streets like vagabonds, homeless gypsies? While we love it so much… who knows!!
Life is full of possibilities and we feel incredibly blessed to set sail and cruise the highways to who knows where and to what adventure or experience lies ahead. No routine in this camp!!
Love, Peace and Light … joy and thankfulness for all we have… and all we don’t have!

Bon Voyage, mi amigos. The best has yet to reveal itself.
Glad we managed to meet up again before you head off to Europe. Hope Pumper manages to keep her legs crossed until she is on the RoRo! Stay safe and keep in touch. Love B & J

So glad we were able to help and keep you focussed to avoid that “D” word. We so loved having you at Sentinel. Enjoy Europe! Buen Viaje. Remember, we are always here to store your belongings for your next trip! Safe travels, Barb and John
Happy Trails!!
Can’t wait to see you!! Have a safe trip! xx
Glad you folks came through Boulder, CO. It was great to meet you both and send you peace & love for the remainder of the trip.
That RORO is good but how cheap is it? I would love to know. And I am headed to Spain on Monday 6/18. Going to Santiago de Compestela and maybe doing the End of the World hike. Then South through Wine country into N. Portugal and home by 7/4.
Safe travels and do be very careful driving. Be especially mindful when making u turns. I almost bought it in Ireland reversing and coming back on the wrong side of the road on a high hedged lane. Phew!
